Apex Gear is one of the largest, most capable machine shops in the United States. Primary Responsibilities of the Communications Director will include: 

• Write effective training & operating materials.
• Reinforcing the Advance Apex brand identities internally and externally.
• Producing effective copy for web, print, press releases, employee communications,  etc.
• Researching placement opportunities for press releases.
• Building exposure of the different companies.
• Other duties/assignments as required to contribute to the company's success.

Requirements: 

• A track record of making things happen, and the ability to take simple directions and run with them.
• A resourceful, creative mind.
• An attention to quality. 
• Flexibility.  
• An ability to work independently toward the goals of the team.
• You should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to comprehend and communicate technical concepts in a clear and interesting manner.

A degree in English, communications, or journalism would be a bonus, but is not required. A track record of previous job stability is a requirement.
